Reason for Hero Status:
From day one, Brooke brought a lot of enthusiasm to her movie production group. She was excited about making a movie and her excitement was contagious. As the oldest camper in her particular week, she knew when to lead and assist her peers, including the youngest campers. Brooke was particularly helpful to a second grader at camp inside and outside of the classroom.

In terms of her work, she loves to write and she proved her great skills as a screenwriter. On the field, Brooke was always excited to play and participate in the sports. Never did she think she was too cool or too old for some silly games, and was a great sport. On dress-up day, Brooke was a stunning black cat and was excited to show off her costume during the morning meeting. She absolutely loved to sing and dance (a constant karaoke participant), and truly engaged the entire camp singing one of her favorite songs, "Fireworks" by Katy Perry. At the end of the first day, she said she was so excited to come back the next day, and was the first one there on Tuesday. Brooke definitely made that week of Mac Camp special!

Truly a music lover, Brooke studies guitar and singing, and is hoping to write her own one-woman show to perform throughout LAUSD. Ultimately, she wants to end up in her favorite city, New York, so she can be close to Broadway.
