KINDERGARTEN LESSONS THIS WEEK

       Emphasis on Before and After

                1) Students read this classic Nursery Rhyme and create a
                     Before and After illustration in Kid Pix!

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall,
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king's horses and all the king's men
Couldn't put Humpty together again.

                2) If time permits, we read another Nursery Rhyme from
                      this site and perform a BEFORE and AFTER again.

1st GRADE LESSONS THIS WEEK

    Emphasis on Target Sounds in Words
       (and using backspace/delete in Word Processors)!

              1)  Students create similar words based on animals by changing
                    target sounds of words.

First Grade Standard:  Phonemic Awareness 1.7 - Add, delete, or change target sounds to change words (e.g., change cow to how; pan to an).
