KINDERGARTEN LESSONS THIS WEEK

Emphasis on:  Making Predictions and Inferences

                1) Students illustrate their own conclusion to the following
                      passage.

Josh woke up early on Saturday morning and
looked outside the window. The sun was out and
it was hot. His dad called to Josh and said, “It
is a perfect day, don’t forget to bring a towel!”
Josh grabbed a towel and they left the house.

                2) If time permits, we read another story and illustrate

FIRST GRADE LESSONS THIS WEEK

    Emphasis on:   Target Sounds and Formatting!

                  1. Students work within a Word™ Document to show
                        phonemic awareness.

2nd GRADE LESSONS THIS WEEK

    Emphasis on:   Camouflage Slideshows

                1. Students continue their POWERPOINT unit on
                      Camouflaged animals!

3rd GRADE LESSONS THIS WEEK

   Emphasis on:    Major Research Unit!!!!

              1.  Students continue their several-week research unit while
                   focusing on THREE concepts / goals:

                    1) Students will properly use key terms to pinpoint information and READ the pages!
                                        2) Students will learn to tell a “good site” from a “bad site” for information.
                                        3) Students will use a "Find on Page" command to find key words on a web page!

4th GRADE LESSONS THIS WEEK

   Emphasis on:    Podcasting!

                1) Students begin their Podcasting unit by planning their episodes!

                2) If time permits, students may check their email.
