KINDERGARTEN LESSONS THIS WEEK

Emphasis on:  Making Graphs and Grouping in Kid Pix

                1) Students create their own mini graphs in Kid Pix by
                      counting multiple objects in the classroom and representing
                      them graphically on the computer.

FIRST GRADE LESSONS THIS WEEK

    Emphasis on:   Contractions and formatting in Word Processors

                  1. Students explore simple contractions in Word while
                       discovering the famous "apostrophe" key!

2nd GRADE LESSONS THIS WEEK

    Emphasis on:   Camouflage Slideshows

                1. Students continue their POWERPOINT unit on
                      Camouflaged animals!

3rd GRADE LESSONS THIS WEEK

   Emphasis on:    Major Research Unit!!!!

              1.  Students continue their several-week research unit while
                   focusing on THREE concepts / goals:

                    1) Students will properly use key terms to pinpoint information and READ the pages!
                                        2) Students will learn to tell a “good site” from a “bad site” for information.
                                        3) Students will use a "Find on Page" command to find key words on a web page!

4th GRADE LESSONS THIS WEEK

   Emphasis on:    Podcasting!

                1) Students continue their Podcasting unit by planning their episodes
                     and maybe even recording in Garageband!

                2) If time permits, students may check their email.

       Emphasis on:    Web Design!

                1. Students finish designing their Astronomy sites!
                      TIME TO PUBLISH!!!!
