PlanetBravo's Code Like A Girl programs give girls a supportive place to ask questions, try ideas, and create with technology. We bring together hands-on projects, collaboration, and the confidence that comes from making something your own.
The tools are changing, and so are the possibilities. Our programs can focus on the fundamentals of coding, explore the age of AI and agentic coding, or bring both together.
The goal stays the same: help students become thoughtful creators, not just users of technology.
The foundations still matter.
Understanding how code works gives students more ways to express their ideas and make informed choices about the tools they use. We help students practice logic, sequencing, loops, variables, and debugging through projects suited to their experience.
That might mean creating a game, bringing an animation to life, or designing an interactive experience. Along the way, students learn to break a challenge into smaller parts, test what they make, and keep improving when the first attempt does not work.
Girls belong in the conversation. And in the creation.
Code Like A Girl makes room for girls to explore their interests, learn alongside one another, and see themselves as people who can build and lead.
Whether a student is writing her first lines of code or experimenting with new ways to create, her perspective belongs here. We encourage students to ask questions, share ideas, and support each other's progress.

A voice in the age of AI.
AI tools can now help people plan, write, and revise code. Agentic coding takes that further, with AI working through multiple steps toward a goal. Knowing what to ask for is only part of the work: students also need to understand, question, test, and take responsibility for the result.
We can build age-appropriate, instructor-guided programs around these new approaches, with an emphasis on clear thinking, creative direction, privacy, and checking AI-generated work. Students stay in the driver's seat. Their ideas and judgment matter more than a tool's first answer.
