KINDERGARTEN LESSONS THIS WEEK

    Emphasis on CAPITAL LETTERS in Word Processors!

              1)  Students practice CAPS lock in Word in this ABC game.

FIRST GRADE LESSONS THIS WEEK

    Emphasis on:   THINGS THAT GO!

                  1. In Kid Pix, students find stickers, animations, and stamps
                        that all "go" as part of the Open Court unit.  Once done,
                        using only shapes, they recreate the same items that GO!

2nd GRADE LESSONS THIS WEEK

   Emphasis on:   Formatting Nouns and Verbs in Word

                1. Students use Word to perform the opposite of CAMOUFLAGING.
                     They actually BOLD and UNDERLINE Nouns and Verbs in a
                     Word document.

3rd GRADE LESSONS THIS WEEK

   Emphasis on:    Academic Acrostics and Shortcuts

              1.  Students finish Acrostics based on recent Web quest activities. 
                     Acrostics focus on FORMATTING in Word Processing programs.

              2.  If time permits, students EXPLORE keyboard shortcuts!

4th GRADE LESSONS THIS WEEK

   Emphasis on:    Podcast Planning

                1. Students continue planning their podcast episodes that
                     will be available online for iTunes Store download!  In this
                     unit, they will write in Word and record in GarageBand.

       Emphasis on:    Animation and Programming

                1. Students continue their unit on Animation and Programming
                      using Scratch software by MIT. 

                      Today's assignment:  Make MAZE Games!!!
