KINDERGARTEN LESSONS THIS WEEK

      Emphasis on:  Word Processing those CVC Words
             

        1) Students not only practice their CVC words with picture prompts, but they
              format their new words using COLOR, SIZE, and FONT TYPE
              in Microsoft Word.

1st GRADE LESSONS THIS WEEK

    Emphasis on TIME in Kid Pix.

              1)  Students take a "Time" out from Word Processing to focus
                     on their time telling skills, plotting the hands on a clock
                     and labeling images to match what they do at that time.

2nd GRADE LESSONS THIS WEEK

   Emphasis on: Transferring Knowledge between programs.

                1)  Students explore PIXLR.com to apply their SUMO PAINT skills
                      while creating a Spring Scene.

3rd GRADE LESSONS THIS WEEK

 
   Emphasis on: Exploration Intro to NEWSLETTER creation.

                1)  Students explore their Macbooks and the Internet in a search
                      for newsletter creation tools. 

                2)  Since 3rd grade's technology theme is EXPLORATION, students
                      will research and discover which tool we already own might
                      be the best option for the job!

                3)  Next week, we begin the actual newsletters using this tool!

4th GRADE LESSONS THIS WEEK

       Emphasis on Podcasting!

             1)  Students begin using GarageBand to create their very
                    own Podcasts that will appear in the iTunes Store!

5th GRADE LESSONS THIS WEEK

       Emphasis on Video Production!

             1)  Students begin their multi-week unit on VIDEO PRODUCTION. 
                  Today, they plan their videos.
