KINDERGARTEN WEB LESSONS THIS WEEK

    Emphasis on Settings in Kid Pix (and introducing Animations)!

No web lessons this week.

                1) Students create a vacation scene in Kid Pix using
                      Kid Pix animations.  At the end, they bring them to
                      life and share with their classmates.

1st GRADE WEB LESSONS THIS WEEK

    Emphasis on Settings and Text in Kid Pix.

              1) Students use Kid Pix backgrounds, animations and text to
                    create Winter Wonderlands in celebration of vacation!

2nd GRADE WEB LESSONS THIS WEEK

      Emphasis on Desktop Publishing Templates!

No web lessons this week.

              1)  Students use new templates to create special holiday
                    treats while also emphasizing their "Kindness"
                    unit in Open Court.

3rd GRADE WEB LESSONS THIS WEEK

        Emphasis on Writing Paragraphs in Word.

No web lessons this week.

              1)  Students will use last week's research to construct
                    a paragraph in Microsoft Word.

              2)   Special attention will be paid to formatting the top
                     of the page, and especially INDENTING using TAB.

4th GRADE WEB LESSONS THIS WEEK

            1)  Text Wrapping with Images in MS Word.
                 Business Doc (.doc) - Students will insert images in
                 this document and make the text wrap around it.

            2)  After they are done, we will enhance the "Business" unit
                from Open Court with the classic:
                LEMONADE STAND

            1.  More Web Design. Students continue their template to
                  design their own educational site in Kompozer.
