Frequently Asked Questions

PlanetBravo's School Programs

Have a question?

We hope you can find the answer you need on this page. If not, please send us a message through our contact page.

• Who teaches the technology classes?
Where the school does not currently have a technology instructor, a PlanetBravo teacher is provided. Instructors are professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and great teachers. They really know how to work with elementary and middle school students (and the teachers)!
• What types of lessons do you teach?
PlanetBravo integrates content taught in all of the core subjects with technology lessons in: Responsible Use, Internet Research, Digital Video, Podcasting, 2D and 3D Animation, Computer Science, Web Design, Wikis, Blogs, Graphics, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, and more! Your students come out of the program with all of the tools under their belt they need to succeed in school and work!
• Who provides the technical support?
Not only does our on-site instructor handle day-to-day technical support issues, but in case of large jobs, we have PlanetBravo staff standing by ready to assist!
• What if our school computer lab is old, outdated, or non-existent?
This is usually not an issue. As evidenced by our current work in schools, we help with fundraising and grants, not to mention our lessons run at various degrees on most computers, young or old. As an additional option, we contract to get a computer 'rental agreement' that would be suitable for your school's budget.
• How much does a PlanetBravo program cost?
You would be shocked at how relatively affordable this program is. Our smallest school (reaching 250 students a week) is $14,000 per year and our largest (covering several hours a day, five days a week) is $52,000. We can arrange a cost that works for your needs. For a more detailed cost breakdown, take a look at our Funding Page.
• Who pays for this?
Most often, PlanetBravo is brought aboard by the school's fundraising arm - whether it is a booster club or PTA. In other cases, PlanetBravo is funded by curriculum funds or even grants.
• How do we get started?
We start with a simple and quick free consultation. We come to discuss the current status and needs of your technology program. We explore options for collaboration and give estimates.
