PlanetBravo is currently the largest STEM Summer Camp in Los Angeles, as well as a provider of in-school computer instruction and one-to-one teacher training for technology integration. But it wasn't always that way! Back in 2003 at its creation, PlanetBravo was just one camp. Since then, it has grown to include nearly 40 local schools and recreation centers. We provide day-time classes in several school districts around Los Angeles, as well as special programs such as GATE and a girls club called "Code Like a Girl."
From the beginning, PlanetBravo's award-winning summer camp has always been about giving kids a fun, confidence-boosting experience where they can explore and develop new multimedia skills with their friends. Whether it's learning to code, making movies, modding Minecraft, or building robots, our kids are using their summers to do incredible things with technology here at camp.
Our counselors really are the all-stars that make our camps special, and many of them are camper-favorites who have been teaching with us for several years.
Since no two kids learn at the same pace, we've designed our classes to be small, safe places where every student gets the attention he or she needs to be successful.
We know that learning happens everywhere, so our kids get a healthy balance of time both indoors working on their computers and outdoors playing games.
Every day at camp is filled with fun group activities and games, and our project-based curriculum is carefully designed to be engaging for all our students.
Each one of our campers gets a personal computer for the entire week, so no one has to share valuable work time. As any educator will tell you, a 1:1 device-student ratio is tough to beat.
We believe every child should have access to a quality education, so we work hard to keep our rates as low as possible while maintaining the highest of academic standards.
